Again I’m a physically and mentally disabled professional artist who has never once used ai in any capacity for my art or writing. As much as I want to poke fun at this type of mentality it honestly makes me… pretty sad. It makes me fucking sad that people like me are turning to morally despicable alternatives because society and the media has convinced them that they can’t do it.

Your favorite artist might be disabled. A famous artist might be disabled. The artist working their freelance or industry job might be disabled. Believe it or not a very large portion of the art community is disabled people.

You don’t need to extend money on art school or fancy supplies- I started with a pencil and sheets of printed paper bought by the hundreds for a couple bucks and now I’m making money for doing what I love. I’ve never been formally educated. I love art and I love what I do and I will advocate for humanity and disabled artists until the day I die.

Please- whether your disability is physical, mental, or any other sort of impairment, you can do art. Rich or poor, you can do art. You don’t need to steal from those who put in the work.

Reblog or spread this message however you can. I’m sick of disability being used as a cheap scapegoat for this shit. Anyone peddling this mentality should be ashamed of themself. You’re not beyond redemption and you can do better, but you should be ashamed.

Disabled people exist in humanity.

Humanity makes art.

It's always so weird to come down from the biology heavens to see what the average person believes about animals, plants, ecosystems, just the world around them. After the recent scrape of Ao3 I feel like now is a good time to say a few things

Authors: Limit your works to registered users only, you are going to see a drop in activity which is going to suck a lot but it's 10x better than having your work stolen and used to train AI. Please take care of your precious work

Readers: If you aren't registered, it's to get registered. You've probably been lurking on ao3 for at least a little while, and if you want to be able to properly interact with your favourite works then the best thing to do is get registered. This way authors can feel supported and you can still interact with your favourite works. It's important the authors and readers help each other out here

Registered Readers: It is important, now more than ever, that you comment and kudos on works that you enjoy. Even it was just one line. Hit that fucking kudos button. And never ever be afraid to comment on fics. You have no idea how overjoyed authors are to get even a single emoji for a comment. Why do people think Eric and Dylan are Racist?

Okay, to start this, let me say I do not know Eric and Dylan and I obviously can't know truly what they felt since... they're both fucking dead. Anyway:

Both boys said slurs of various kinds. The nword, slurs against Mexicans and Asians, literally all racial slurs ever. Dylan called Isaiah (I believe that's his name, I don't care), the only person of colour they killed, the nword too. Eric called himself racist multiple times, too. But beyond that, I don't really see any proof.

Eric: Eric had called himself racist multiple times, a nazi too, but he also said he thinks white people should be oppressed. He called racism dumb and even wrote a whole essay on it for a class. Eric also had multiple colored people who were his classmates, none of which reported any racist events from Eric.

Dylan: The only real evidence I see used is him saying the nword and calling Isaiah the nword. But the thing is... he obviously wasn't racist. I don't believe Dylan ever claimed to be. He didn't call Isaiah that because he hated his race, he was mocking everyone they shot. And, well... that was Isaiahs most prominent feature. So, you know, he made fun of it.

Another thing to remember is that the 90s and 80s were very different times. Slurs weren't really as serious as they are now. Even people like Kurt Cobain used terms that could be offensive now (r.g: negros). They both had an edgy kid persona as well. And I can talk from experience that it is made to offend *everyone*, it's made to be hated. It's a defence mechanism, if anything. The nword was used like faggot is used today.

I have been saying for years now that natsu can cook. He grew up alone and needed to learn to survive on his own. He can’t always be out there buying food as much as he would probably love to. He loves trying foods and flavors and wants to eat everything (literally) so he teaches himself how to replicate foods he loves! This bleeds over into Lucy and how if Lucy loves a food he will learn to make it for her for special occasions (which let’s me real with sentimental natsu that could be always).

Lucy on the other hand cannot cook. She grew up wanting to but she was never allowed in the kitchen. She can boil pasta and other very basic essentials but she can never get the flavors right. She cannot balance the flavors always adding too much salt or acid to a dish and not knowing how to save it. She never gets the timings right always burning something because she walked away or forgot to chop something. Natsu never minds he loves her and wants to eat her food says it’s full of love.

Lucy can however bake! It’s a science it’s a recipe that is written out to the gram and has timings all over it. She can follow written instructions and mix everything together well. She prides herself on baked goods and the guild is happy to let her. Erza has been known to ask for strawberry cake often. She will make natsu spicy chocolate brownies once a month at least because he inhales those things.

Natsu cannot bake. That man cooks with his heart (years of practice) and thinks winging baking is easy! It isn’t. He creates mush and burnt things and it’s not good. Lucy will try everything though because he made it!

They slowly teach each other once they move in and now they are an unstoppable duo of the kitchen <3333

honestly the fact that shisui has gone through so much shit in her life and plowed through it for so long, staying strong for herself and for her older sister and still trying to find joy in the little things and still latching onto having friends and people she loves and cares about whilst knowing it could come crashing down at any second??? shisui who despite tricking maomao and dragging her along to a new place where she knew it was entirely possible for her to get hurt, doing everything in her power to keep her safe and to keep her away from everything. shisui who knew maomao so well that she knew exactly what to throw her into when she got caught so despite everything she still wouldn't get hurt. shisui who knew maomao would understand what she meant, trusting her to do what she asked even though there was a risk of her not understanding and hating her out of EVERYONE in this damn show i think she deserved to be happy. i think i'll be mad forever over the fact that she didn't get to live her life the way she wanted to, free with her loved ones. every day I will be mad that she got her freedom at the cost of losing everyone and everything she loved

It is my sincerest and unironic belief that we must invest in preserving "old technology." The more we move to a hegemonic, easily-surveilled way of living, the worse we will find this world to be.

Letters, public phones and transport, cash, and so much more are key to ensuring both freedom of movement and information, but also to combat the surveillance state. We need to preserve the ability to both access the world but also to be untraceable. I truly hope more people start to recognize this. It isn't about nostalgia for the past. It is about ensuring that we are actually afforded freedom, from the richest person to the person who lives on the sidewalk.

Reminder that health testing and breeding to avoid inherited diseases can’t be done effectively unless breeders have as much health information as possible.

If you have a well-bred dog please please please let your breeder know as soon as possible* if something like epilepsy, allergies, IBD, or other health issues come up. Not only can they usually offer support, but it can definitely impact and inform their breeding decisions for siblings or other related dogs.

It sucks when these things come out after the fact when knowing them before may have changed what risks were taken.

(*obvs if you are no contact with your breeder you don’t have to break that. But if you’re on ok terms with any littermates or relatives pls reach out to them instead)

when i first my my first ever fanart for the outsiders, I didn't know i actually had a color filter on my screen the entire time making the art until ... 3 WEEKS AFTERWARDS.

(which is also why my coloring has become much more vibrant! because i was under the illusion my colors were ALREADY vibrant.)

so i guess it makes ??? sense as to why it's darker ??? (because I've been trying to recreate the colored filter version) but also i think it's so funny his hair is getting darker and darker on accident
